While wearing Vivid hues may seem intimidating to men, the Brilliant coloration trend is one of the hottest in fashion. Designers are mailing down clothing in Shiny hues, and while you may not quite be ready for a turquoise suit, men’s neckties are the excellent way to take advantage of one of the most wearable trends in fashion. It may seem like an daunting idea that is good only in men’s fashion periodicals, but with these few simple tricks, you’ll find that adding a splash of color to you work wardrobe will have you feeling confident and looking great.

To start out, you need to under-stay that there are different types of Brilliant shades, and some of them are loud adequate to overwhelm any man’s style. Avoid any color that appears to be like like it belongs in a highlighter pen- overly vibrant yellows, pinks, greens, and purples are difficult to wear. Instead, you will want to look for items that offer Vivid color in the right dose. Mens fashion offers many colors that are ideal for balancing the look of brightly shaded mens neckties. Gray, black and white are all Stitches of men’s company attire, and these are the great backdrop for a more Brilliantly shaded accessory. Bright shades look masculine when they are paired with other, more subdued colors, so start off with a neutral backdrop for Vibrantly colored accessories.

The next step is to decide which bright shade will look best on you. Consider other items in your wardrobe- if you often buy blue or green casual clothing, a bright blue or green tie will almost certainly look great on you. The best thing about bright colors is that they don’t need to come in large doses to get observed. While patterned ties that mix a subtle shade with a Vibrant coloration are one way to start, adding a tie in a stable Vivid shade is Amazingly easy.

Once you have attempted out the Vivid coloration trend in mens neckties, it’s time to accessorize. For example, consider adding a pair of Vivid socks in a coordinating coloration to your suit. This simple touch will truly pull together a look. a different idea is to wear a pocket square in the same Shiny color as your tie, or wearing a vest in a Brilliant color under a dark suit jacket. When you are comfortable with Brilliant colors, consider changing things up by mixing a brightly colorization shirt with a dark tie. For example, a shirt in a vibrant purple with a simple black tie worn under a black or dark grey suit makes a real statement that is sophisticated ample to wear to work, school, or even a job interview.

Adding bright colors to your wardrobe will instantly update your style and make you look more modern. While a head to toe look made up of Bright colors is too much and will only make you look like a cartoon character, adding a splash of Brilliant color with mens neckties makes you look confident and pulled collectively. Try adding a Vibrant dose of your favored shade, and you will find that you will stay out in any crowd.

Like any other item of clothing, an ill fitting tie can ruin even the most pricey suit. A tie that fits well should settle at or near the center of your belt buckle. Ties that are too quick can make an adult look like a child, and long ties that dangle too far down are sloppy seeking. Getting your tie to the right length takes some apply, but if you find that you are consistently having problems getting your tie to reach the right sport on your body or if the skinny end of the tie doesn’t effortlessly fit into the loop on the back of your tie, you may need to invest in long ties instead of the standard length ties you have been buying.

There are many different factors to purchase long ties, and you don’t need to be seven feet tall to buy them! Of course, men who are very tall will often need to obtain long ties to avoid having the tie dangle too high on their midsections. But men who have a long torso, regardless of their height, may also need to invest in long ties instead of standard ties. an additional cause that you may need to obtain long ties is if you are carrying a few extra pounds- brief ties emphasize the midsection, making you look larger than you really are. Men who work out often and have heavy chests and necks may also look better with extra long ties that give them more length around the neck to work with.

The way you tie your tie may also mean that long ties will work better for you. Many men choose to use a double Windsor knot or other larger sized tie knot, which can make a standard length necktie too short. If you usually wear shirts that have a wide collar distribute, you will look better when you tie a larger knot, so extra long ties may be the right selection for you.

The good news is that extra long ties are available in as many designs and colors as those made in briefer lengths. When choosing extra long ties, you should keep your body proportions in mind if you are picking patterned ties. If you are a larger guy, you should look for habits that are also larger, such as wide stripes or a different large scale pattern. On the other hand, if you are a smaller framed guy, you can select more delicate patterns without searching out of proportion.

Choosing a tie that fits your body size and type will help make you look more professional and put together. One way to figure out whether you should purchase extra long ties is to add your total height to the collar size on your shirt. If the total is over ninety, than you will most likely need extra long ties. obtaining a tie that fits well and makes you feel great is one way to feel more confident in your appearance no matter the place you are going.

No matter what kind of personality you have, if your style speaks of who you really are, then you can stand out from the crowd just by standing back and without going overboard.

So express yourself by developing a unique style that’s truly your own with these simple steps:

1. Carefully assess your personal style. This is very crucial and needs careful thought. The results of your assessment will be the backbone of the style that you want to portray.

Basket Weave Light & Blue Skinny Silk Ties

Decide if you’re the modern and fashion-forward type. Or perhaps, you may be a hippie. Or maybe you prefer to be traditional and classical. You can be daring as a punk or even as a nerd. There’s no such thing as a wrong style, as long as it is honest to who you really are.

2. Accentuate your assets. Everyone has flaws. Instead of focusing your energies on hiding them, focus on bringing attention to your best features instead, whether they’re your eyes, neck, or shoulders. Decide what feature of your body, or even your personality, you want to accentuate, and build your style around that.

Black & White Skinny Silk Tie

3. Find a celebrity who has a similar taste as yours. Surely, there is a celebrity who, in one way or another, has a personality and taste similar to yours. You don’t have to mimic what they’re wearing. Just get ideas from them and add your own flavor to make the look more personal.

For instance, if you like David Beckham’s style and have seen him wearing skinny ties in a series of formal events, then you could incorporate the skinny tie to your outfit and evolve your look.

Black & Silver Basket Weave Skinny tie

4. Dare to experiment with style. Casual clothes don’t need to be boring clothes. And formal clothes don’t need to be black. Try to mix and match pieces once in a while. Try a white coat with a black striped dress shirt inside, and finish up with a slim tie. You don’t need to wear neon colors or flashy bling-blings or crazy hats—but you may if you want to. Remember, you are looking for your own style. Don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone and allow room for mistakes.

Brown White Black Striped Skinny Tie

But limit your experimentation to one item at a time. You want to stand out while standing back; you don’t want to stick out like a sore thumb.

5. Stay in shape. No matter how nice your clothes may be, they won’t help you if your beer belly is showing. It is a rule of thumb in fashion that clothes should fit perfectly on your body, and clothes just can’t hang well on an out-of-shape body, so getting in shape is really important.

Start by making an effort to exercise, and modify your diet to get rid of unnecessary fats. You won’t necessarily change the way your body looks instantly, but your knowledge that you’re eating and exercising virtuously would add to your confidence, manifest in the way you carry yourself, and make you look better.

6. Continuously cultivate and expand your personal style. Once you have discovered what works and what does not work for you, there should still be an urge to shake things up once in a while. Don’t let yourself stagnate. Keep your style fresh. That’s what real fashion is all about.

Unless you make a bold move to stand out from the crowd, you will always be just one of them. An original style that is well thought of will set you apart from others without making you look like a jerk. Whatever look appeals to your senses, your style should be uniquely you.

What’s the Latest in Wedding Fashion?

The New Millennium

has paved way for much more daring and outlandish wedding fashion trends, especially for men. Gone are the plain white ties and plain gold wedding bands. From strange boutonnieres to wooden wedding rings, grooms today have a myriad of new fashionable selections guaranteed to make an impression on their bride. Here’s a selection of items you can use to make your wedding day truly fashionable:

1. Wooden wedding bands. This may be a shocker for some, but don’t underestimate the classic charm of wood. They are very unique and masculine, not to mention sturdy and eco-friendly. So replace the usual gold and diamonds, which could cost a thousand bucks. Be practical and spend your wedding budget wisely. You won’t regret wooden wedding bands, a symbol of your warm, living, growing love.

2. Slim suits. Slim-fit suits have always been part of contemporary weddings. Grooms who want a modern feel will never go wrong with such a strong ensemble. The best choices would be suits made of lightweight wool.

3. Skinny ties. There are tons of skinny ties to choose from. You can go for a vivaciously colored tie or go for a classic white necktie. Different patterns of skinny ties are available—stripes, plaid, or paisley—depending on your taste. All of these can be incorporated into a variety of wedding themes, whether hippie, vintage, or preppy.

Light Blue & Dark Blue Skinny Tie

4. Tie bar, the new groom’s accessory. Tie bars put you a notch above others in your attire. Choose from reserved and unique tie bars that would give your whole ensemble an added personality. Or you can go for a vintage gold tone, a silver ship’s wheel design, or a simple stripe sterling silver. If you want a nostalgic feel, then borrow your grandfather’s tie bar. This is the best time to wear it, now that vintage is in.

5. Whimsical boutonnieres. One groom decided to wear a baby carrot as a boutonniere, in tribute to his bride, who works a chef. Another groom had the cute idea of using a paper pinwheel as a boutonniere—fun, playful, and most importantly, inexpensive.

If you’re planning to be as whimsical as the above mentioned grooms, you can think up your own ideas—maybe mushrooms or celery? There are no rules. Just let your wild imagination fire up.

6. The return of the bow tie. If you want to skip wearing white ties with your white tuxedo, why don’t you try an over-sized and rat-pack-style bow tie? Depending on your taste, you can choose a splashy color or stick to the neutral ones. Contemporary bow ties provide a very formal look without being too stuffy.

Red Bow Tie for Wedding

7. Casual is the new formal. Believe it or not, this principle also applies to weddings. Though it might be un-traditional for many, grooms can now dare to wear well-cut khaki suits paired with a fedora and a vibrant tie and still turn out to be wedding-appropriate.

8. Eye-catching cufflinks. Cufflinks can be fabulous with stones such as crystallized Swarovski. You can choose from different vibrant colors and witty motifs. Stone-studded cufflinks definitely make a statement.

Red Wood & Silver Cufflinks

9. Sleek watches. To complete your look, sleek black watches that are very affordable and very elegant are available in the stores. And even if you end up shelling out more than you bargained for, don’t worry—these watches can be used not only on your wedding day but can also match your everyday wear.

Dare to try one of these latest wedding fashions in your own event. It’s your wedding anyway, so you have the freedom to spice up your attire and give it that X factor. Beyond doubt, your bride will appreciate your effort for trying to make this special day even more special and memorable for everyone.

Titanium cufflinks have taken the place of more traditional material in many of the jewelry items we see today. Men’s jewelry especially has embraced the new space-age material and has almost replaced sterling silver. It has in fact become the sterling silver of the modern age. The look is very chic, and the durability far exceeds the traditional silver of old. The finish can be a silver color or even a black or gun metal finish. Have a look at this new fashion metal. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Clothes make the man, as the adage goes, and we follow what the most influential men are wearing because we want to be perceived as powerful individuals too.

People in the upper rungs of the corporate world usually wear business suits, not only because it is the appropriate attire for their fields of profession, but also because it is a badge that lets other people know that the person wearing it is someone important.

But only if the suit is well made.

Now when you have the business suit, you also need a tie. After all, if you’re in a position of power, you don’t want to look too casual. Your subordinates need to understand one thing about you, which men’s neckties express so effectively without words: “I may be good-looking, but that doesn’t mean you can mess with me.”

No laughing matter

Entertainment personalities Larry King and Tom Wilkinson both share a deep respect for the men’s tie. During the 2010 Golden Globe Awards, both wore handmade silk men’s ties worth between $500 to $1000 each!

What else does King wear? Here’s what he told Laura Brown in an interview:

“I like leather. I like stylish jeans. I love those new sneakers, Skechers, that give a lift inside.

“Donna Karan gave me a leather jacket that I’ve worn, and I’ve got a bright-red Bijan jacket.”

And of course, he owns more than 250 pairs of suspenders. Now that’s a trend that hasn’t caught on yet, and his being able get away with it is proof of how influential Larry King is!

Clothes make the president

Among the U.S. presidents, Barack Obama is considered to be the most stylish. No other American president has called so much attention to himself by the way he dresses.

Obama has been known to wear custom-made, union-label Hart Shaffner Marx suits, which are usually priced at $1,500. Expensive suits indeed, but it’s the design of his suits, not their price tag, which makes the iconic president look so good.

Obama is also known to sport suits from Burberry, which is a classic choice too.

Some people have even noted that some of Obama’s Burberry suits are not custom-tailored. Obama himself has said before that he just buy suits from the rack in Burberry. He said that he almost never has his suits customized, to save time and money.

But though he never has his clothes custom-tailored, he never fails to look good in them, which only goes to show the quality of Burberry suits.

The ties that bind

Obama has been seen to wear his suit without a tie, when he wants to look very relaxed—like when he was trying to sell his health care plan to America.

But on better days, he wears a wide variety of men’s ties, unlike his predecessor, George W. Bush, who preferred to limit himself to solid reds and blues.

It’s been said that the variety of Obama’s ties compete even with that of Bill Clinton’s but there’s just anecdotal evidence available on that.

What we do know for sure is that the president has a preference for subtle patterns that look almost solid from a distance but prove to be much more interesting when viewed two feet away.

It’s like he’s saying, “Come closer. Know me better. There’s more than meets the eye.”

After all, like all good things, it’s the small details that make the difference.

And if the clothes make the man, remember too that it’s the details that distinguish him.

Cufflinks are back in fashion.
While they’ve laid low for a few years, these days we see cufflinks everywhere!

In Hollywood, they are worn by celebrities young and old, from Justin Timberlake and Cameron Mathison, to Steve Carrel and George Clooney. Add Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt to that list and you have to wonder why everyone isn’t wearing cufflinks now.

Since the James Bond 007 series, cufflinks have, in fact, been a symbol of style for the modern world. One of the latest James Bonds, Pierce Brosnan, wore them too when he played that dashing millionaire in the film, “Thomas Crown Affair.”

But the practice of wearing cufflinks goes way back before the playboy secret agent was seen by the public for the very first time when he still wore the face of Sean Connery.

Symbol of Style and Status

Since the sixteenth century, cufflinks have been a stylish way of fastening cuffs together. During the reign of King Louis XIV, when cufflinks were typically made of gold, they were donned by the noble men in France.

At that time, they were not mere fashion statements. Cufflinks were status symbols.

Nowadays, gold cufflinks may be too flashy for everyday use, but sterling silver cufflinks will never cause you to look overdressed, even if you wear them to work. They just make you look a little bit more polished than everyone else.

What’s more, they go with any color you can think of!

A Design to Suit any Taste

In addition, cufflinks are one of those few accessories that men can use to distinguish themselves from others. Today’s cufflinks include various designs that you can choose according to your tastes.

That allows every male user to find a style that tickles his fancy. No man is immune to the overwhelming varieties being offered by cufflink sellers these days. There are hobby cufflinks, nostalgic cufflinks, formal cufflinks and many others. Almost every conceivable male interest topic already has a matching cufflink.

Sterling silver cufflinks can be found in the shape of nuts and bolts, the Superman logo, even iPods.

Silver cufflinks are occasionally studded with gems for added value. This achieves a very regal effect that few other accessories can create. And unlike rings, cufflinks are subtle. You showcase cufflinks when you work with your hands and expose your sleeves, but otherwise, they remain unobtrusive and non-flashy.

In fact, cufflinks these days have become such interesting, yet tasteful ornaments, even women sometimes like to borrow them.

Added value

Silver cufflinks also have a value-added feature: It is a good topic for breaking the ice amidst men. Talking about one’s interesting cufflinks is a good and safe way to initiate conversation with a stranger.

For couples, the intimate act of asking your partner or special friend to attach your cufflinks for you minutes before a party or a formal event defines life’s short and precious moments.

Most of all, cufflinks abound and remain great in style since they are perfect gift ideas. The price flexibility and convenient wrapping size are two of its biggest perks.

Whether you are buying them for yourself, your partner, your basketball buddy or your boss, they will all be well-received, as long as the design and the appropriateness has been well thought out.

Nowadays, the cufflink has largely been replaced by buttons—and plastic ones, at that!

But the mark of true gentility is still, and will always be, found in a pair of precious metal cufflinks.

At first glance, it can be hard to understand why sterling silver cufflinks are becoming so popular nowadays.
After all, these are hard times, money is tight, and why spend for silver cufflinks when buttons would do the job just as well?

But there are good—even practical—reasons why the sterling silver cufflinks’ popularity is rising.

Internet sales

First, with their size, value, and lightness, they’re perfect things to sell online.

They’re also great for customization, answering another important online-merchandise criteria: the item should not be easy to find offline.

So for the budding entrepreneur who wants to keep overhead costs low by building his store online, cufflinks are great things to market.

And hard times create budding entrepreneurs. That’s one reason for the cufflink’s resurgence.

Affordable elegance

Now the great thing about silver cufflinks is they provide elegance at an affordable price. They stand midway between the lowest priced types made from materials such as steel and titanium, but they are definitely more accessible than gold.

Also, unlike gold, which often steals the spotlight from the attire, silver is more subdued. Thus, the designs can be more creative without attracting too much attention.

In fact, sterling silver has always been the metal of choice for cufflinks. Not only does its impeccable simplicity stand out with any dress shirt, its versatility as a metal allows for a variety of designs.

And unlike plain buttons, sterling silver cufflinks add class and elegance to the wearer’s suit.

Incomparable versatility

Cufflinks are great for self-expression. One could have them personalized by having the owner’s initials, symbols or pictures engraved on the metal. There are cufflinks available in the shapes of everyday objects, such as buses, nuts and bolts, national flags, etc.

If a wearer wants to impress everyone with his traditional values, a pair of sterling silver cufflinks with a quiet design sends a clear message.

A trendsetter who wishes to dress simply while still making a statement—unique but not ostentatious—may choose ornately designed, customized silver cufflinks. Not only do these kinds of cufflinks add a personal touch, they also tells a lot of the wearer’s willingness to walk the extra mile to keep and express his individuality.

Young professionals and entrepreneurs who want to look stylish without appearing over-accessorized may choose to wear silver-framed enamel cufflinks. They might be a bit pricey, but the rewards of attracting potential clients and employers who know good value when they see it could make your cufflinks worth their cost.

Gone are the days when cufflinks were restricted only to the high and mighty. They have become part of everyday fashion. More and more people are beginning to embrace silver cufflinks, preferring them over buttons.

Therefore, silver cufflinks not only leave a good impression about the wearer, they could also be perfect gifts for a friend’s wedding or a boss’ birthday.

Indeed, the popularity of silver cufflinks rise and fall continually over time, but every generation rediscovers their elegance and learns anew that their ability to create lasting impressions makes them an important and timeless fashion accessory for men.
